Getting here
Three ways in.
One way down.
Goa is one of the best-connected coastal cities in India — two airports, a mainline rail station, and the NH-66 running through it. Here’s how to reach whichever coast you’re diving.
Pick your route
By air, train, or road.
Two airports serve Goa
Dabolim is closer to South Goa and Grand Island; MOPA is the newer airport, closer to North Goa (Baga, Calangute, Candolim). Both connect to major Indian cities and international hubs.
Konkan Railway to Goa
The Konkan Railway line runs the length of Goa — Madgaon and Thivim are the main stops. Trains run from Mumbai, Pune, Mangalore, and beyond. Book well ahead in season.
Drive or take a bus
NH-66 runs down the Konkan coast — scenic but slow. Overnight sleeper buses (Volvo, Mercedes) run from all major western and southern cities. Self-drive if you’d like to stop en route.
When to come
October through May.
Winter (Nov–Feb) has the calmest sea and best underwater visibility. March–May is warmer above water and quieter on the boats. Monsoon (Jun–Sep) closes diving entirely — the sea is too rough.
Before you set off
Travel tips.
- Book flights and hotels ahead if you’re coming in Dec–Jan — peak tourist season, prices spike.
- Basing in Baga, Calangute, or Candolim keeps you close to our free pickup zone.
- Arrive the evening before your dive — boats leave the jetty early morning.
- Carry motion-sickness medication if you’re prone to it — the Grand Island crossing is 45 minutes of open sea.

A few more details.
Free hotel pickup
Every package includes free pickup and drop from any North Goa hotel — we’ll confirm your pickup time on WhatsApp the night before.
Beginner-friendly
Baga and Panjim are shallower, shore-launched dives — a suitable first breath underwater. No swim skills needed.
Medical restrictions
Breathing issues, heart disease, pregnancy, or recent surgery can rule out diving. Flag any condition when you book and we’ll confirm.
